Leon Smook, MSc student at the Faculty of Science and Technology, made an important step in the development of an artificial nose. By computer-simulating the binding of scent molecules to different polymers, he contributed to a polymer-based receptor design that could efficiently capture scent molecules. His work resulted in no less than three scientific publications.
